DTP Software packages such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, InDesign and Corel Draw all offer you the technology to design your own artwork. However, design is much more than just knowing which buttons to press. Design is all about knowing how to deliver the right message and create the right image - you are better to leave the design of leaflets and brochures to a professional designer. A well-designed printed item of stationery will sell your product whereas a badly designed item may do more damage than good or have a detrimental effect. Our design charges are very competitive.

In all cases our prices include a digital colour proof and allow for author's alterations on first proof. Major alterations at first proof stage or alterations to second and subsequent proofs will incur additional charges - these will be advised at the appropriate time.

Corporate Identity and Logo Design
Need a new corporate identity or new logo? Our skilled designers will turn your ideas into stunning images or, if you prefer, create a concept for you. However, If your logo is just simply showing signs of old age, let us perform a facelift on it. We are strong believers in giving your stationery and brochures a consistent look or 'brand' so that you are easily recognisable to your customers.

Proofs
If we are preparing new artwork for you, it is important that you thoroughly check your design before we print it. We will always supply a proof for approval prior to print. We produce three different types of proofs:

PDF proof: These are sent digitally via Email. They are ideal for checking layout and content but are not colour accurate and so are of little use when there are issues of colour, such as matching to a House Colour.

Laser Proof: These are sent by post and provide something tangible to look at. Again these are not colour accurate and their use is limited to content and layout proofing.

Wet proof: These are an exact match to the job which will eventually be printed since they are a small run of the finished job on press. We would always recommend a small run of print (to be used as a wet proof) prior to any very large run of print.

PLEASE NOTE: We will not be liable for any mistakes in the final printed product that we supply you, if it is due to errors on the artwork in terms of layout, text, colour, content and spelling and which has been approved by you, the customer.

Archiving Artwork on Disk
Every design we produce is held on our computer system for a period of at least 3 years. This enables us to keep reprints and updates simple and inexpensive to our customers.

Copywriting Service
To compliment our design service we offer a professional copywriting service to help your promotional literature achieve maximum impact.

Supplying your own Artwork
If you would prefer to supply your own artwork, please follow the instructions in our Technical Resources section - Preparing and Sending Artwork.

We also charge £20 for converting files to a pdf  so that they can be processed efficiently by our system. Once again please follow the instruction in our Technical Resources section - Preparing and Sending Artwork.
